The first weekend of high school baseball has nearly been wiped out by the recent ugly weather.
There wasn't any rain Friday -- it was sunny and cold -- but there was enough earlier in the week to render many fields unplayable.
With the forecast of more cold weather Saturday, the decision was made to move the Perry County Tournament to its rain date, April 9.
That left two games on the schedule Friday and two more Saturday.
With rain in the forecast for early next week, it might be a few days before the baseball season gets in full swing.
