The loser of the PIAA Class AAA Team Championship quarterfinal between Cumberland Valley and Northampton will meet Council Rock North this evening at 6 in an elimination dual.
CR North, the District 1 runner-up, dropped a tough 37-27 decision to District 6 champion Central Mountain in the second round this morning.
The winner of CV vs. Northampton will face the winner of Erie Cathedral Prep/Council Rock South tomorrow in the semifinals at 11 a.m.
CV advanced as far as the quarterfinals last year before losing to Easton. The Eagles eventually claimed third place.
