When the final two District 3 football trophies are handed out at Hersheypark Stadium -- AAA tonight, AAAA tomorrow -- there will not be a Sentinel area team bringing the hardware back to the West Shore.
This season marked only the second time since 2000 that at least one team in The Sentinel's coverage area failed to win a district football championship. The other instance was 2005.

2006 -- Red Land in Class AAA
2005 -- none
2004 -- Camp Hill in A
2003 -- Cumberland Valley in AAAA
2002 -- Camp Hill, Trinity in A and AA, respectively
2001 -- Camp Hill, Cumberland Valley in A and AAAA, respectively
2000 --Cumberland Valley in AAAA
