Chapman Field isn't going to be used much in September.
Cumberland Valley's 2008 football schedule was posted on the CV Football Alumni Web site shortly after the Eagles' 33-30 loss to Muhlenberg in the District 3-6 Class AAAA first round, and the slate includes four straight road games beginning with a Sept. 12 trip to Altoona.
CV won't return to Chapman Field until Oct. 10 when rival Carlisle comes calling.
The game against Carlisle opens a season-ending four-game home stand for the Eagles. Harrisburg comes to 'The Chap' on Oct. 17 and Central Dauphin will be the guest on Senior Night two weeks later.
CV's home opener is Sept. 5 against Commonwealth opponent State College.
The Eagles travel to Red Lion on Aug. 31 for the season opener.
